MATH 301/601: Probability and Statistics, Spring 2007

TEXT: Olofsson, Probability, Statistics, and Stochastic Processes, Wiley, 2005.

EXAMINATION AND GRADING: The grade is based on three in-class tests (60%),
homework (10%), and final exam (30%). Grading scale: A: 90-100, B: 75-89, C: 60-74
D: 50-59, F: 0-49.

Monday, April 16.

The Final exam is May 5th, 1:00-5:00 PM

There will be no make-up tests unless there is a medical reason or family
emergency. In that case, you must present a doctor's note or similar.

HOMEWORK will be assigned each Friday. You have to do the homework
problems but unless I instruct otherwise, you do not have to turn them in. Use
the lab sessions to get help with the homework problems.

OFFICE HOURS: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 11-12 or by appointment. Office
location: Gibson Hall 423.

OTHER: Attendance is mandatory at the lectures. The labs are optional but
highly recommended. Homework and additional course material will be posted
on this website and communicated via Blackboard.

There is NO LAB the first week of classes.
