Homework/Thursday classes: Homework will be assigned
each week but not collected. A strong effort on the homework is essential for
success in this course. The quiz at the end of the Thursday class will be based
on the homework and class material of the previous week. Each Thursday class (except for test days)
will begin with the teaching assistant answering questions about the previous
week's homework and lectures. Then supplementary material will be presented.
Your best indication of what is important (and what
will be tested) is what we do in class.
Second best indication is the homework assigned.
