Math121 covers most of Chapters 1-6
of the text. The course assumes you are
a good student with good training, that you are interested in
mathematics, and
that you are willing to work hard.
Homework will be assigned every day.
Class attendance and a strong and punctual effort on the
homework are
crucial for success in the course.
There will be three class exams
during the semester. Each of these three
exams will count 1/6 of the final grade.
There will be a short quiz almost every week; the best 10 of
these
scores will constitute another 1/6 of your grade. The
final exam will count 1/3 of your grade;

course is the TI-83. The use of
calculators may be prohibited on parts of exams. Calculators capable of
symbolic manipulation, such as the TI-92, may not be used on quizzes or
