RET 2006

The Mathematics Department at Tulane University occasionally runs a summer program for high school teachers to work with members of the Mathematics Department.

The program is designed for teachers with a good working knowledge of calculus who teach algebra, geometry or calculus or plan to teach one of these subjects. This full-time program involves consultation with members of the Mathematics Department faculty, individual study, problem solving, and collaboration with other teachers in the program.

In previous years the general topics of study have been in areas of:

  • Algebra, and
  • Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometry

The program usually lasts eight weeks during June and July. The application will be available from this website and is usually due in February.

Check this website later for more information on the upcoming RET program, including the on-line application form, stipends, and list of requirements for participants.
