About us
Intersections is an association of women and gender minorities in math at Yale. Our objectives are:
- Create a network and community that celebrates the accomplishments of women and gender minorities in math at Yale.
- Indicate a presence of women and gender minorities in the math department and be a resource for prospective mathematics students.
- Provide avenues for support and mentorship of current students and faculty. Connect undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs and faculty members.
We work in close collaboration with
Dimensions, the undergraduate organization at Yale and a AWM chapter that aims to inspire,
celebrate, and empower women and gendered minorities in mathematics. They organize a lot of great events, be sure to check them out!
Activities
Lunches
We regularly hold lunches with women, gender minorities and allies in math at Yale.

In the seminar we celebrate the research of mathematicians who are members of traditionally underrepresented groups, discuss issues of diversity, and work
